The software requires the use of Excel® 2000, Excel® 2002, Excel® 2003 or Excel® 2007.
The software has been tested on Windows® 98/Me, Windows® XP, Windows VistaTM and Windows® 2007.
The software must be run on an English version of Excel® (country code 1). The country code can be determined by typing ?Application.International(xlCountryCode) in the Visual Basic® immediate window.
The computer locale must be set to English, or some other language which does not require double-byte character support. The locale is set in the Control Panel (Regional and Language Options).
It is recommended that whichever version of Excel® is used, all available service packs are applied.
In Excel®, the extend list formats and formulas feature is switched off at start-up, as this is incompatible with the use of frames for maintaining data.
In Excel® 2003 and later, formula auditing is switched off at start-up, to avoid confusion of the cell symbols used with those used for marking the current row of a frame. If desired, it can be switched on again during development. The task pane is not displayed at start-up, but can be displayed later using Excel® Help.
In Excel® 2007 Logic Architect makes use of the ribbon interface (creating a Logic Architect tab from where it can be controlled).
If data from external data sources is required, this is obtained using ADO. ADO will normally be installed on any system with Excel® 2000 or later.
Any workbooks for use in the system which have been transferred from earlier versions of Excel® or other environments should be saved in the current version and the required directory before use, or errors can occur.
